Chequeador de puertos GPS

Este simple programa le va  permitir conocer los puertos a los que tiene conectado su GPS.

Es muy útil cuando duda acerca de si su GPS emite señal por el cable previo a instalar OziExplorer.

Esta preparado para estos modelos de GPS

Garmin

• a Garmin USB GPS conectado a un puerto USB port.
• a Garmin conectado a un puerto serie con la interface en el Garmin establecida en  Garmin mode (en los modelos mas antiguos se denomina "GRMN/GRMN Host" mode).
• a Garmin GPS con la interface conectada con el set en  "NMEA Out" mode, el GPS conectado emitirá sentencias NMEA que se deberán ver en la pantalla.

Magellan

A Magellan GPS must be configured to output NMEA data

• a Magellan USB GPS in "USB File transfer mode" attached to a USB port. All relevant drives are scanned for the file "Default POI File.upt" in the "My POIs" folder, if this file is found then it is assumed that an attached Magellan GPS has created the drive.
• a Magellan serial GPS,  the GPS must be connected to a serial port (also known as a Com port).

Other GPS Types

With all other GPS types all Serial Ports are scanned looking for NMEA data. Therefore the GPS must be outputting NMEA data if it is to be found.
